Brand New Crated Chevrolet LS1 engine
Still on the pallet and factory wrapped. Bought to fit in Scimitar but the project has to be canned. The engine is rated at 350 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine includes a GTO-style oil pan, electronic drive-by-wire throttle body, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, fuel rail with injectors, balancer, and 14" automatic transmission flexplate.
THe LS1 was first introduced in the new Corvette on 1997.It was designed by a clean sheet compared to it's older sister the LT1 predecessor. and everything was reviewed and revised such as packaging, cost benefits, low engine speed torque requirements, weight efficiency and ease of maintenance. It is very c ompact and is used in a lot of kit cars. It has prodigious torque and better fuel economy.To make this engine run, you would need and ECU, wiring loom and starter motor, alternator, transmission.
