3.5 Rover V8 Reliant Scimitar GTE SE5

"I have owned the Scimitar in V6 form for about 4 years, however the engine has always rattled, and been fumey, while oil usage has slowly increased over the last 35000 miles. Looking for more power and yet not wanting to spend the earth, going V8 seemed a particularly good option. When a short remote came my way (from a sherpa van) the decision was made to do something about it... a £340 ebay engine and gearbox was duly bought (9.75 : 1 EFI from a Vitesse). I changed the EFI to SU's for ease of getting it running, changed the timing chain and gears, New P6 water pump, P6 alternator pulley, modded crank pulley, Clutch, Landrover LH manifolds (thanks sam!) core plugs etc."
