4.0 Rover V8 1980 Ford Capri
Bought part finished this is one QUICK QUICK QUICK Crapi! Steve sold me my first 3.5 Rover V8 motor when the Capri was offered to him. It was painted in a weird blue / purple using Halfords cans, needed running in and tidying but the potential was seen.
A couple of years hard graft and it's gleaming white, detailed engine bay and very nicely sorted thank you! The engine is a Rover 4.0L V8 with Carter 500cfm carb, typhoon cam and big valve ported heads. A cosworth t5 box powers the salisbury lsd (from a 2.8i Capri). To stop all this are sierra cosworth front brakes and granada rear discs. The suspension setup uses RS 2000 front springs, bilstien rear shocks / single leaf springs / xframe / 3" lowered rear / antidive kit / thicker antiroll bars / fully poly bushed. Handling has been further improved using the first AVO replacement struts ever in the country!
